For the past five years, I have partnered with Tashma to co-lead a Scouting program for students at the South Carolina School for the Deaf and the Blind. We work together weekly to providing Scouting programs to over 40 young people of which 10 are hearing impaired. Tashma is the reason this program exist today. Her passion for these young people and American Sign Language (ASL) is contagious. She works great with both the Scouts and their parents. As someone with no ASL experience, I can attest just how easy Tashma is to work with. I simply talk and she handles the rest! Additionally, I have partnered with Tashma to teach basic ASL to our greater Scouting community. Tashma is a tremendous resource to our community and I am thankful that she is willing to share her talents with others. I highly recommend Tashma Talks! Everyone can benefit from our services and simply knowing basic ASL so we can better support our hearing impaired community!
